YOGA NIDRA

Yoga Nidra (NSDR - non sleep deep rest) with gong sound bath - 60 min.

A very structured and effective form of meditation considered yogic sleep. Nidra is an ancient practice that is now being heavily studied and recommended, and often also referred to as NSDR non-sleep deep rest. It has been described as an internal massage for the nervous system.

Any experience level can join any class. Nidra is the least amount of movement. Very gentle.

YIN YOGA

Saturday 9:30 a.m. location TBA

Yin yoga with sound bath - 70 min.

Yin yoga is similar in goals and objectives to other types of yoga, however, instead of a yang emphasis on internal heat, lengthening and contracting muscles, yin generally targets connective tissue and fascia with a gentle stressing. Yin and yang tissues have different responses to being exercised. Most yang yoga experiences only half of the physical practice.

Yin is not an easy form of yoga, it can be challenging, but can also be modified for a more gentle, all-level practice. *When possible, we incorporate sand-bags into the practice.

YOMASSAGE

Yomassage with sound bath - 90 min.

Mindful Touch Yomassage classes are not massage, but a way to receive safe intentional touch in a community setting. While you are deeply relaxed in restorative Yomassage positions, a trained Mindful Touch practitioner will move around the room, providing therapeutic, mindful touch to each person. This class will also incorporate myofascial therapy balls.

Yomassage is restorative yoga poses, could look a lot like what your chiropractic or physical therapist might recommend you do, with specific therapeutic touch to combine the benefits of both yoga and massage.

WELLNESS WORKSHOP

Tuesday 9:00 a.m. AT VICTORIA COUNTRY CLUB

This class will encompass a wide variety of mind-body wellness tools and somatic exercise modalities. We will start with yoga style movement, meditation, breath-work and mindfulness work. Please bring your own mat. Text or call Julie with any questions. 361-212-1672. Future classes will incorporate Pilates, Barre, Dance and other embodied movement practices. Class will conclude with a sound bath meditation.
